Your Aviation Management diploma gives you many career opportunities

Graduates of the program may obtain employment in general aviation and aviation operations positions where they use their knowledge and skills to progress to more advanced positions. Graduates may be employed in a wide variety of aviation fields such as airline management, airport management, airport planning, security and safety management operations, cargo operations, business aircraft operations, flight dispatch and government aviation agencies. In addition, the program provides graduates with a better chance of success in furthering their training with the Department of National Defense or to become air traffic controllers, commercial/airline pilots, and flight service specialists.

Pathways

Our Aviation Management program is the only three-year program in Canada that allows students to progress directly into Griffith University’s Masters in Aviation Management degree. Earn a master’s degree in aviation with only an additional one-and-a-half years of study.

Alternatively, you can choose to complete one of two Bachelor of Science degrees with Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University with only one additional year of study.

Industry partnerships

Our Aviation Management students have access to high-quality flight training through partnerships and Memorandum of Understanding’s (MOU’s) with regional flight schools. These partnerships are tailored to our students’ needs and offer a range of training, connections, and supportive programs to help them achieve their pilot credentials.

Genesis Flight College

  • Specialized flight training on the most advanced equipment available in the industry.
  • Get everything you need to start your career as a pilot! Genesis Flight College’s Career Pilot Program has four modules:
    • Private Pilot Licence,
    • Commercial Pilot Licence,
    • Instrument Rating, and
    • Multi-engine Rating.
  • One-on-one training, individual training plans, and dedicated flight instructors.
  • Prepare for direct entry into a commercial flying job with expert-level knowledge of advanced systems of the advanced DA40 and DA42 aircraft.
  • Located at the Collingwood Regional Airport in Collingwood, Ontario.

Brampton Flight Centre (BFC)

  • Self-paced program offers flight training up to Private Pilot and Commercial Pilot level (certificates granted upon completion).
  • BFC also offers Multi-Engine Ratings, Group 1 and 3 Instrument Ratings, and Instructor Ratings.
  • Located just north of Brampton, Ontario, BFC is one of Canada’s largest flight training schools with 23 aircraft, two flight simulators, and more than 35 flight instructors.

Brampton Flight Centre

Ontario Flight Centre (OFC)

  • Flight lab modules and training for students interested in pursuing the Recreational Pilot Permit, Private Pilot License, Night Rating, and VFR Over the Top Rating.
  • Modules cover flight for navigation, flight for endurance, slow flight, navigation, pre-flight inspection, takeoff, instrument flying, and more.
  • Located at the Lake Simcoe Regional Airport between Barrie and Orillia, Ontario, the OFC is a fully licensed and Transport Canada-certified flight school.
