VETERINARY ASSISTANT

Gain the knowledge and skills required to support veterinary professionals including safe handling and restraint techniques, general care of companion animals and administrative duties.
VETERINARY TECHNICIAN

Learn theory, labs, simulation, advanced models, and clinical practice in our on-site veterinary hospital to develop the requisite competencies to provide medical and nursing care to animals.
Learning experience
Experiential learning is central to the School of Animal Health. Through laboratory learning, clinical environments and working with animals, you’ll develop the technical skills, professional judgement and confidence needed to support veterinary teams and provide compassionate care.

Animal care and clinical skills
Build your practical skills in animal handling, patient assessment and nursing care while learning how to support animal health, comfort and wellbeing,
Clinical and diagnostic skills
Develop experience with diagnostic laboratory techniques, radiography, anesthesia and surgical support using professional equipment and procedures.
Field placements
